2025 SESSION ENROLLED HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 584 Celebrating the life of Lexie Isabelle Sullivan. Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 10, 2025 WHEREAS, Lexie Isabelle Sullivan, a beloved young member of the Midlothian community who inspired everyone she met through her curiosity, kindness, and joyful personality, died on December 13, 2024; and WHEREAS, Lexie Sullivan was a graduate of Robots and Mud Pies Preschool and had been a second-grade student at Swift Creek Elementary School, where her favorite subjects were reading and physical education; she was also a talented dancer and had studied ballet at Chesterfield Dance Center for three years; and WHEREAS, Lexie Sullivan liked to draw, paint, sculpt, make crafts, and write books and was well known among her classmates and teachers for her creativity and passion for learning; she especially enjoyed making decorations for the holidays and ensuring that all of her classmates and friends felt special on their birthdays; and WHEREAS, Lexie Sullivan was a skilled cook and baker who made cakes, cookies, and even a blueberry pavlova dessert inspired by her favorite television show, Bluey; and WHEREAS, Lexie Sullivan visited New York City, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., took two trips to Walt Disney World, and saw numerous sights in the Commonwealth, including the Blue Ridge Mountains, Luray Caverns, Sandbridge Beach, Busch Gardens, and Kings Dominion; and WHEREAS, Lexie Sullivan always relished an opportunity for an adventure and saw the magic in everyday life; she was as happy playing with her sister or her dog in the backyard as she was visiting faraway destinations; and WHEREAS, Lexie Sullivan enjoyed caring for her pets, George, Sprinkle, and Tuft, and was always excited to spot wildlife around her home or visit the Metro Richmond Zoo to feed the birds and goats; and WHEREAS, Lexie Sullivan loved her family deeply, and she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her parents, Mollee and Matthew; her sister, Julie; her grandmother, Debbie Anzivino, and great-grandmother, Patti Driscoll; her uncles, Mick and Jim Norwood; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Lexie Isabelle Sullivan, a member of the Midlothian community who touched countless lives; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Lexie Isabelle Sullivan as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for her memory.
