HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 617
Commending The Gala 417.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 17, 2025
WHEREAS, The Gala 417, a wedding and event venue in Virginia Beach that has helped countless families make lasting memories, celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2024; and
WHEREAS, The Gala 417 was established in 2019 by Amberly and Coleman Ferguson, experienced local entrepreneurs, who envisioned a welcoming space where people could gather and celebrate their milestones in a picturesque coastal setting; and
WHEREAS, surrounded by water on Long Bay Pointe Boating Resort, The Gala 417 includes a customizable grand ballroom and lounge, bride and groom suites, and an outdoor terrace with gorgeous views; and
WHEREAS, The Gala 417 offers all-inclusive wedding planning services to ensure that every couples' special day is fun, easy, seamless, and exactly as they pictured it; and
WHEREAS, The Gala 417 is one of the top-rated luxury wedding venues in the Commonwealth and maintains high ratings on several wedding planning websites; and
WHEREAS, The Gala 417 has set the standard for comprehensive and luxurious event management and consults with other wedding planners and venues on business development, client generation, event coordination, and more; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That The Gala 417 hereby be commended on the occasion of its fifth anniversary of service to residents of and visitors to Virginia Beach; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Amberly and Coleman Ferguson, cofounders of The Gala 417, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its contributions to the vibrant local economy.
