1521 WHEREAS, opened by a group of local pediatricians in 1974, Camp Holiday Trails was designed to provide opportunities for outdoor activities in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment; the camp offers 24/7 medical care and supervision to ensure that children with medical needs and their families can focus on having fun and building bonds with fellow campers; and

1723 WHEREAS, Camp Holiday Trails has served more than 10,000 children with diverse medical diagnoses from throughout the mid-Atlantic region by providing a variety of year-round program options, including family camp, day camp, or overnight camp; and

1925 WHEREAS, the empowering and transformative programs at Camp Holiday Trails focus on helping campers build confidence, leadership abilities, and personal skills while learning to manage their medical diagnoses; and

2531 RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Camp Holiday Trails hereby be commended on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and, be it

2733 RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Camp Holiday Trails as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its life-changing work to create new opportunities for children with a wide range of medical diagnoses throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
