1319 WHEREAS, Mariners Landing, a multifaceted resort and housing development on Smith Mountain Lake providing a unique blend of natural beauty and comprehensive amenities, has greatly served both residents and visitors for many years; and

1521 WHEREAS, Waller Perrow began acquiring real estate in Mariners Landing in 2013 and expanded his involvement by purchasing the estate assets of the previous developer and the golf club in 2020; and

1723 WHEREAS, since taking stewardship of Mariners Landing, Waller Perrow and his team have transformed the site into a thriving, all-inclusive golf and lake resort, with five diverse eateries, a world-class gym and wellness center, tennis and pickleball courts, and other amenities; and

1925 WHEREAS, after completing hundreds of maintenance and beautification projects, Waller Perrow and his team have cemented Mariners Landing's reputation as a charming and desirable location to live, work, and play; and

2127 WHEREAS, Waller Perrow established Bottles and Bites at Mariners Landing, a vibrant seasonal venue that offers guests an array of wines, craft beers, and gourmet nibbles to enjoy while listening to live acoustic music, and was instrumental to revitalizing the Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival after the COVID-19 pandemic; and

2329 WHEREAS, Waller Perrow deftly manages the complex logistics of Mariners Landing, a multifaceted establishment spanning 1,000 acres that boasts more amenities than any other facility within a 90-mile radius; and

2531 WHEREAS, in July 2024, Waller Perrow launched the Stillwaters program at Mariners Landing, a retreat program designed exclusively for veterans and first responders to honor their service; and

2733 WHEREAS, through Waller Perrow's tireless efforts, Mariners Landing has blossomed into a vibrant recreation and relaxation hub and a cohesive, thriving community along beautiful Smith Mountain Lake; now, therefore, be it

2935 RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Mariners Landing hereby be commended for its accomplishments and legacy of service; and, be it

3137 RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Waller Perrow, owner of Mariners Landing, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his efforts to restore Mariners Landing into a wonderful place to live and vacation along Smith Mountain Lake.
