HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 671
Commending JR's Auto Care.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 17, 2025
WHEREAS, established in the 1970s, JR's Auto Care has been serving Altavista and the surrounding communities with automotive care and repair for more than fifty years; and
WHEREAS, JC Critchley and his wife took over JR's Auto Care in the 1990s, and they moved to a new six-repair-bay location in 2005; and
WHEREAS, JR's Auto Care provides a wide range of services to their customers, including oil changes, transmission service, alignments, and tire repair and replacement; and
WHEREAS, through different owners and locations, JR's Auto Care has maintained its independence while upholding a standard of service excellence and an unwavering commitment to the Christian faith; and
WHEREAS, JR's Auto Care is devoted to staying up to date and ahead of the curve in the auto repair and care industry, with the business's dedicated and skilled mechanics participating in six hours of training per month to keep up with the ever-changing and developing automotive industry; and
WHEREAS, after a half-century of serving Altavista, JR's Auto Care still takes pride and satisfaction in excellent customer service, building a loyal following of happy customers who turn to them to get back on the road safely; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That JR's Auto Care hereby be commended for its legacy of service; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to JC Critchley, owner of JR's Auto Care, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the business's contributions to Altavista and the Commonwealth.
