HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 733
Celebrating the life of Landon Jeremiah Artis.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 18, 2025
WHEREAS, Landon Jeremiah Artis, a beloved young member of the Richmond community, died on January 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, born in 2008, Landon Artis was an inquisitive student who excelled in music and relished every opportunity to perform with his high school band; and
WHEREAS, Landon Artis was planning to continue honing his musical talents at Norfolk State University; and
WHEREAS, Landon Artis went above and beyond to help others feel valued, and he brought joy to everyone he met through his infectious laughter, unwavering faith, and kind spirit; and
WHEREAS, Landon Artis will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his parents, Kristan Artis and Joel Marrow and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Landon Jeremiah Artis; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Landon Jeremiah Artis as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
