1319 WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg, which serves the communities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg, Charles City County, James City County, New Kent County, and York County, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2025; and

1521 WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit organization that helps families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through home ownership; and

1723 WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg has constructed 233 homes for families, with seven more expected to be completed in 2025; and

1925 WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg has served 462 adults and 474 children for a total of 936 individuals through 2024; and

2733 RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg hereby be commended on the occasion of its 40th anniversary; and, be it

2935 RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Shauntrice Williams, chief executive officer of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg, as an expression of the House of Delegates' deep appreciation for the organization's exemplary service to the community and the Commonwealth.
