2025 SESSION ENROLLED HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 876 Commending Greg Duncan. Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 21, 2025 WHEREAS, in 2024, Greg Duncan of Oakton represented the Commonwealth at the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris, France, competing for Team USA in the synchronized three-meter diving event; and WHEREAS, in 2018, as a freshman at the University of North Carolina, Greg Duncan won Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Diver of the Year honors after winning both the one-meter and three-meter competitions at the 2018 ACC championships; he was also a USA Diving national champion in the synchronized three-meter event; and WHEREAS, in his collegiate career, Greg Duncan went on to achieve multiple All-American honors and was a five-time National Collegiate Athletic Association championship qualifier; and WHEREAS, in 2022, Greg Duncan won the silver medal in the three-meter synchronized diving event at the Fdration Internationale de Natation Diving World Cup in Berlin; and WHEREAS, at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Greg Duncan placed eighth in the synchronized three-meter competition, bringing great pride to the Commonwealth; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Greg Duncan hereby be commended for representing Team USA at the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad in 2024; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Greg Duncan as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his outstanding athletic achievements and best wishes for the future.
