A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 4 of Chapter 9 of Title 23.1 a section numbered 23.1-910, relating to public institutions of higher education; certain transfer credit policy prohibited.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 4 of Chapter 9 of Title 23.1 a section numbered 23.1-910 as follows:
23.1-910. Certain transfer credit policy prohibited.
No public institution of higher education shall adopt or implement any policy that denies credit to transfer students based solely on the sending institution's accreditor, as long as such accreditor is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
