2025 RECONVENED SESSION REENROLLED VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to direct the Board of Pharmacy to report on the progress of emergency medical services agencies in response to changes in federal law. [S 1318] Approved Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia: 1. 1. That the Board of Pharmacy (the Board) shall, in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Health and the Office of Emergency Medical Services, report on the progress Virginia's emergency medical services agencies (EMS agencies) have made and are making in response to the federal Drug Supply Chain Security Act, Title II of P.L. 113-54, and the federal Protecting Patient Access to Emergency Medications Act, P.L. 115-83. Such report shall include information on the progress of EMS agencies with regard to adopting the pharmacy practices established by Board regulation and pursuant to U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency requirements that replaced the hospital drug box exchange program. The Board shall submit such report to the Governor, the Secretary of Health and Human Resources, the Chairmen of the Senate Committees on Education and Health and Finance and Appropriations, and the Chairman of the House Committees on Health and Human Services and Appropriations by November 1, 2025.
