1519 WHEREAS, Jon R. Stehle, Jr., a distinguished public servant and community leader, concluded his tenure on the Fairfax City Council on December 31, 2024; and

1721 WHEREAS, a resident of Fairfax City since 2007, Jon Stehle holds a bachelor's degree in history from Washington and Jefferson College, a master's degree in public and international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, and a master's degree in national security and strategic studies from the United States Naval War College; and

1923 WHEREAS, in his professional life, Jon Stehle is the director of intergovernmental partnerships for the nonprofit organization AGA; he previously served as a senior analyst with the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO), earning a GAO Meritorious Service Award for his efforts in 2013; and

2125 WHEREAS, Jon Stehle faithfully served the residents of the City of Fairfax over four terms on the Fairfax City Council, working tirelessly to ensure the community's health, prosperity, and welfare; and

2327 WHEREAS, Jon Stehle fostered the City of Fairfax's growth and development as chair of the city's Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and as a member of its Green Acres Feasibility Study Committee and Branding Advisory Committee; and

2529 WHEREAS, Jon Stehle has made an impact across the Northern Virginia region and the Commonwealth as the president of the Virginia Municipal League and as chair of both the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCG) Food and Agriculture Regional Member Policy Committee and the MWCG Chesapeake Bay and Water Resources Policy Committee; and

2731 WHEREAS, through his integrity, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others, Jon Stehle has helped to make Fairfax City a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

2933 RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Jon R. Stehle, Jr., as he concludes his tenure on the Fairfax City Council; and, be it
