1519 WHEREAS, So Lim, a distinguished public servant and community leader, concluded her tenure on the Fairfax City Council on December 31, 2024; and

1721 WHEREAS, a resident of Fairfax City since 2001, So Lim is the owner and operator of Lim's Insurance Agency, a licensed agency of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company; and

1923 WHEREAS, So Lim has been recognized with various awards for her efforts to provide her clients with quality insurance and financial services; and

2125 WHEREAS, So Lim has fostered the growth and success of George Mason University by serving on the board of the institution's College of Visual and Performing Arts and as a member of the President's Advisory Council for George Mason University Korea, the institution's campus in Incheon, South Korea; and

2327 WHEREAS, So Lim has made an impact in countless lives as president of the U.S. chapter of the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation, a branch of World Taekwondo that teaches children in refugee camps the values and principles of Taekwondo; and

2529 WHEREAS, in her capacity as president of the Korean American Association of the Washington Metropolitan Area, So Lim advanced the civic, cultural, educational, and social interests of thousands of Korean Americans in Fairfax City and beyond; and

2731 WHEREAS, So Lim faithfully served the residents of the City of Fairfax over three terms on the Fairfax City Council, working tirelessly to ensure the community's health, prosperity, and welfare; and

3135 RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend So Lim as she concludes her tenure on the Fairfax City Council; and, be it

3337 RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to So Lim as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her contributions to Fairfax City and the Commonwealth and best wishes for her future endeavors.
