2025 SESSION ENROLLED SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 320 Commending Gregory Trepp. Agreed to by the Senate, January 30, 2025 Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 3, 2025 WHEREAS, Gregory Trepp, an accomplished businessman, recently retired from his position as chief executive officer of Hamilton Beach Brands, a leading designer, marketer, and distributor of a wide range of small electric household and specialty housewares appliances and other products that has been based in Henrico County for more than 35 years; and WHEREAS, Gregory Trepp is a graduate of the University of Richmond and earned his master's degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut; and WHEREAS, Gregory Trepp joined Hamilton Beach Brands in 1996 as its director of marketing and later served as chief executive officer and president of the subsidiaries Hamilton Beach Brands Canada and Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc., as well as chief executive officer of the subsidiary Kitchen Collection; and WHEREAS, Gregory Trepp took the helm of Hamilton Beach Brands as its president and chief executive officer in 2017, when the company was spun off NACCO Industries, Inc.; and WHEREAS, as the head of Hamilton Beach Brands, Gregory Trepp oversaw a portfolio of brands that includes Hamilton Beach and Proctor Silex appliances, Clorox True HEPA air purifiers, and Brita Hub countertop electric water filtration appliances; and WHEREAS, Gregory Trepp has been instrumental to Hamilton Beach Brands' efforts to expand beyond manufacturing and distributing home appliances and commercial restaurant equipment into the home health and medical industries; and WHEREAS, Gregory Trepp is credited with cultivating a culture of innovation at Hamilton Beach Brands that has helped the company approach all business decisions in a thoughtful, empirical, and effective manner; and WHEREAS, Gregory Trepp continually strove to ensure that the team members located at the Hamilton Beach Brands headquarters in Henrico were able to grow the company successfully while enjoying all of the wonderful aspects of Henrico County and Central Virginia; and WHEREAS, beyond his professional career, Gregory Trepp has given generously of his time in support of his community as a member of the board of trustees at the Steward School in Richmond; and WHEREAS, with exceptional business acumen and a commitment to excellence, Gregory Trepp has been central to the success of Hamilton Beach Brands for many years; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Gregory Trepp on the occasion of his retirement as the chief executive officer of Hamilton Beach Brands; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Gregory Trepp as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for his legacy of service and best wishes for his future endeavors.
