SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 326
Commending the Self Storage Association.

WHEREAS, the Self Storage Association, currently headquartered in Alexandria, has represented the needs and interests of self-storage businesses around the country for 50 years; and
WHEREAS, established in 1975, the Self Storage Association is now the premier nonprofit trade organization representing the best interests of the self-storage industry nationwide; and
WHEREAS, the Self Storage Association is the industry's foremost communicator and provides informational and educational resources to its membership, the public, and the news media; and
WHEREAS, the Self Storage Association enhances the image of the industry among the public, improves the business viability of its member businesses, and expands the industry through promotion of self-storage facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Self Storage Association represents and advocates on behalf of the industry before government entities at all levels; and
WHEREAS, the Self Storage Association serves all of its members equally, regardless of type or size, and strives to maintain a fair and competitive industry environment at all times; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Self Storage Association on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Self Storage Association as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's contributions to self-storage businesses throughout the Commonwealth and the United States.
