SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 341

Commending the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS.

WHEREAS, for 100 years, the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS has upheld the highest standards of excellence in the real estate profession while promoting community growth in Central Virginia; and

WHEREAS, founded on June 22, 1925, the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS (CAAR) currently represents more than 1,300 real estate professionals and affiliate members in the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson Counties; and

WHEREAS, CAAR has helped generations of real estate professionals better serve their clients and hone their expertise through educational programs on changes in the real estate industry, market knowledge, and negotiation tips to facilitate successful transactions; and

WHEREAS, CAAR has earned a reputation as a trusted and reliable resource for real estate professionals, and its members have enhanced the quality of life in the region through numerous outreach projects and commitment to volunteer leadership; and

WHEREAS, with its community engagement, dedication to ethical business practices, and promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion, CAAR has not only advanced the real estate profession but has also helped build strong, stable communities throughout Central Virginia; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS on the occasion of its 100th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for its long legacy of distinguished service to the real estate community and the residents of Central Virginia.
