1519 WHEREAS, Jake Kincaid, an esteemed firefighter and emergency services technician, beloved husband, father, and son, and cherished member of the Russell County community, died on February 3, 2025; and

1721 WHEREAS, born in Raleigh, Jake Kincaid graduated from Honaker High School in 2005 before embarking on a career as a coal miner that would span more than 15 years; and

1923 WHEREAS, Jake Kincaid discovered his passion for emergency medicine and worked tirelessly as a member of the New Garden Rescue Squad, Richlands FireRescue, ProMed, and several other area agencies; and

2125 WHEREAS, Jake Kincaid devoted himself to the safety and security of his community as a firefighter and emergency services technician and made an impact on countless lives; and

2327 WHEREAS, Jake Kincaid's pastimes included hunting, fishing, working on trucks, listening to music, playing guitar, and bull riding, but his greatest joy in life was spending quality time with his family; and

2529 WHEREAS, Jake Kincaid will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife of five years, Amanda; his children, Jayden, Parson, Jenson, and Ripley; his mother and stepfather, Angie and Dennis; his father, Jim; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

2731 RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Jake Kincaid, a treasured member of the Russell County community whose dedication and legacy of service inspired all who knew him; and, be it
