2025 SESSION ENROLLED SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 414 Commending Aubrey Jones. Agreed to by the Senate, February 19, 2025 Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 20, 2025 WHEREAS, Aubrey Jones, a community leader in Hampton Roads, has touched countless lives through his commitment to service; and WHEREAS, Aubrey Jones has used his social media platform to assist with numerous mass search and rescue efforts for missing persons in the Hampton Roads area; and WHEREAS, Aubrey Jones advocated for the creation of the Critical Operation for a Disappeared Child Initiative (CODI) Alert, which sends alert notifications about missing children who may be in immediate danger; and WHEREAS, Aubrey Jones's contributions to the development of the CODI Alert system has given law enforcement an additional, potentially lifesaving tool to inform the public quickly and efficiently about missing children; and WHEREAS, Aubrey Jones has also advocated for criminal justice and gun safety reform and organized community members around important issues; and WHEREAS, Aubrey Jones has worked directly with people whose lives have been affected by tragedies, offering hope and support in times of need; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Aubrey Jones for his volunteer leadership and community advocacy; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Aubrey Jones as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for his contributions to the residents of Hampton Roads.
