1521 WHEREAS, Malcolm Tecumseh Custalow, Jr., a distinguished law-enforcement officer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son, and a treasured member of the King William County community, died on June 30, 2024; and

17-WHEREAS, affectionately known by family and friends as Little Mack, Malcolm Custalow graduated from Grove Avenue Christian School in Richmond in 1992 before studying at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College; and

1925 WHEREAS, Malcolm Custalow was a devoted law-enforcement officer and first responder who dedicated more than 25 years to the safety and well-being of communities in the Commonwealth; and

2127 WHEREAS, Malcolm Custalow embarked upon his law-enforcement career in 1999 as a deputy with the King William County Sheriff's Office and was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2016; and

2329 WHEREAS, Malcolm Custalow later served with the West Point Sheriff's Office and as a water marine police officer before ultimately returning to the King William County Sheriff's Office as a court deputy in 2024; and

2531 WHEREAS, in recognition of his accomplishments in keeping the roadways of King William County safe, Malcolm Custalow was presented an award by Mothers Against Drunk Driving in 2007; and

2733 WHEREAS, Malcolm Custalow's legacy of service was known throughout the Greater Richmond area, and he was admired by all who knew him for his bravery, honesty, and integrity; and

3137 WHEREAS, Malcolm Custalow was an enrolled citizen of the Mattaponi Indian Tribe, and he proudly honored and celebrated his Native American heritage and community; and

3743 RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Malcolm Tecumseh Custalow, Jr., a revered member of the King William County community whose dedication and service were an inspiration to all who knew him; and, be it
