1321 WHEREAS, the Brunswick Academy softball team of Lawrenceville won the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division III state championship on May 17, 2024, in Dinwiddie; and

1523 WHEREAS, the Brunswick Academy Lady Vikings defeated the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators of Chesapeake by a score of 51 to bring home a state championship title; and

1725 WHEREAS, the Brunswick Lady Vikings' victory was a total team effort, led by stellar performances from Emily King, who pitched a complete game and homered in the contest; Aubrey Corum, who went three for four at the plate while notching two runs and a run-batted-in; and Lexi Howerton, who had a home run and two runs-batted-in; and

1927 WHEREAS, numerous members of the Brunswick Academy softball team were honored at the end of the 2024 season with nominations to the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) Division III All-State first and second teams, including Co-VISAA Division III player of the year Emily King, as well as Aubrey Corum, Lexi Howerton, Avery Griffin, Kylie Walker, and Riley Griffin; and
