2025 SESSION ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 236 Celebrating the life of Paulina Yager Campbell. Agreed to by the Senate, February 6, 2025 WHEREAS, Paulina Yager Campbell, an accomplished executive assistant, longtime member of the Republican State Central Committee and Page County Republican Party, and beloved member of the Shenandoah Valley community, died on December 11, 2024; and WHEREAS, born in Stanley, Paulina Polly Campbell dedicated 35 years to the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co., Inc., as a secretary and executive assistant; and WHEREAS, Polly Campbell was an active and devoted member of the Republican Party since 1958, serving in the capacity of secretary to the Republican State Central Committee for more than 45 years and in various leadership roles with the Page County Republican Party, including as vice chair, precinct chair, and secretary-treasurer of District V; and WHEREAS, through her work with the Republican Party, Polly Campbell had the honor and privilege to meet with several presidents, senators, attorneys general, and congressmen of the United States over the years; and WHEREAS, in recognition of her efforts and service in support of the Republican Party, Polly Campbell was presented the John Dalton Award in the late 1980s; and WHEREAS, Polly Campbell was appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Nursing, contributing valued insights and advice to advance the nursing profession in the Commonwealth; and WHEREAS, guided throughout her life by her faith, Polly Campbell enjoyed worship and fellowship with her community for many years at Bethlehem Independent Christian Church in Stanley; and WHEREAS, preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Loren, Polly Campbell will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her sister, Joyce, and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Paulina Yager Campbell, a treasured member of the Shenandoah Valley community whose dedication and service inspired all who knew her; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Paulina Yager Campbell as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for her memory.
