2025 SESSION ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 329 Commending the Roanoke Bar Association. Agreed to by the Senate, February 22, 2025 WHEREAS, for 100 years, the Roanoke Bar Association has promoted professional excellence among members of the Virginia State Bar who are based in the Roanoke area while fostering positive relationships between its membership and the community; and WHEREAS, the Roanoke Bar Association pursues its mission by providing its members with various educational opportunities to support their practice of the law and by cultivating professional connections that enhance public awareness of the law; and WHEREAS, the Roanoke Bar Association recognizes its members for their accomplishments and community service through a number of awards, including the Frank W. Bo Rogers, Jr., Lifetime Achievement Award; and WHEREAS, the Roanoke Bar Association supports aspiring attorneys and others through mentorship activities, scholarships, and signature programs, such as Santa at the Station, Barrister Book Buddies, and You and the Law; and WHEREAS, to honor its centennial, the Roanoke Bar Association has organized a number of community events that will be held throughout 2025, creating meaningful opportunities to reflect upon the organization's impact on the Greater Roanoke area; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That the Roanoke Bar Association hereby be commended for its legacy of service on the occasion of its 100th anniversary; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Roanoke Bar Association as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for its contributions to Roanoke and the Commonwealth.
