Morristownassetforthinthisact.ThevotersoftheTownapprovedthe
proposalofadoptiononNovember5,2024.

CHAPTER129C.TOWNOFMORRISTOWN
§ 1.CORPORATEEXISTENCERETAINED
TheinhabitantsoftheTownofMorristown,withinthecorporatelimitsnow
established,shallcontinuetobeamunicipalcorporationbythenameofthe
TownofMorristown.
§ 2.GENERALLAW;APPLICATION
Exceptwhenchangedormodifiedbythischarter,orbyanylawful
regulationorordinanceoftheTown,allofthestatutesoftheStaterelatingto
municipalitiesshallapplytotheTown.
§ 3.TOWNMANAGER
(a)TheTownManagershallbethechiefexecutiveofficerandtheheadof
theadministrativebranchoftheTowngovernmentandshallberesponsibleto
theSelectboardfortheefficientadministrationofthemunicipalaffairsofthe
Town.
(b)TheTownManagershallhavetheauthoritytohire,appoint,discipline,
andremoveallTownemployees,subjecttotheprovisionsofpersonnelrules
approvedbytheSelectboard.TheTownManagermayauthorizeadepartment
headtohire,appoint,discipline,orremoveanemployee,subjecttothe
Manager’sdiscretionandsupervision.
