2020 It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont: 15
2121 Sec. 1. HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION; POSITIONS; APPROPRIATION 16
2222 (a) The following new positions are created in the Human Rights 17
2323 Commission: 18
2424 (1) one full-time, permanent, classified Communications and Outreach 19
2525 Coordinator; 20 BILL AS INTRODUCED H.38

3030 (2) one full-time, permanent, classified Intake Specialist; 1
3131 (3) three full-time, permanent, exempt Staff Attorney Investigators; 2
3232 (4) one full-time, permanent, exempt Paralegal; 3
3333 (5) one part-time, permanent, classified Mediator; and 4
3434 (6) one part-time, permanent, classified Social Worker/Case Manager. 5
3535 (b) In fiscal year 2026, the following amounts are appropriated from the 6
3636 General Fund to the Human Rights Commission: 7
3737 (1) $25,000.00 for education and outreach activities; and 8
3838 (2) for the positions created in subsection (a) of this section: 9
3939 (A) $794,616.00 for salary and benefits; 10
4040 (B) $18,000.00 for related operating expenses and equipment; and 11
4141 (C) $50,000.00 for additional office space. 12
4242 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE 13
4343 This act shall take effect on July 1, 2025. 14
