Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to create an 7
Inclusive Schools Protection Fund to offset reductions in federal funding for 8
inclusive programs, prioritizing LGBTQ+ student support programs, 9
antidiscrimination initiatives, inclusive curriculum development, and training 10
for educators on equity and inclusivity; to provide direct funding to school 11
districts for inclusive programs; to protect funding for gender and sexuality 12
alliances, equity coordinators in schools, and mental health and antibullying 13
programs targeting marginalized students; to task the Agency of Education 14
with reporting annually on the efficacy of the State’s funding efforts to support 15
inclusivity; and to develop alternative revenue streams to supplement the 16
Inclusive Schools Protection Fund. 17
