Statementofpurposeofbillasintroduced:Thisbillproposestoreducefrom
annuallytoeverythreeyearsthesubmissionofareportbytheDepartmentof
Healthanalyzinghealthequitydata.Itfurtherproposestoamendthe
disclosureprovisionspertainingtothecancerandamyotrophiclateralsclerosis
registries.

equitydatausingthesmallestappropriateunitsofanalysisfeasibletodetect

racialandethnicdisparities,aswellasdisparitiesalongthelinesofprimary
language,sex,disabilitystatus,sexualorientation,genderidentity,and
socioeconomicstatus,andreporttheresultsofsuchanalysisonthe
Department’swebsiteperiodically,butnotlessthanbiannually.The
Department’sanalysisshallbeusedtomeasureovertimetheimpactofactions
takentoreducehealthdisparitiesinVermont.Thedatainformingthe
Department’sanalysisshallbemadeavailabletothepublicinaccordancewith
Stateandfederallaw.
