1414 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to require the 9

1818 flood-resilient redevelopment or floodplain restoration. This bill also proposes 13
1919 to create a homeowner assistance program providing financial support for 14
2020 elevating homes in flood-prone areas, relocating displaced residents to 15
2121 permanent housing, and rebuilding homes using flood-resilient materials and 16
