Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to establish State 9
programs that offer technical assistance to municipalities for planning flood-10
resilient infrastructure, including roadwork adaptations, and applying for 11
federal and State infrastructure grants. This bill also proposes to support 12
specialized flood mitigation projects, including lifting or removing flood-prone 13
bridges and removing dams that pose significant flood risks to nearby 14
communities. 15
