Whereas,Colchester’sfirstchallengewastoadvanceintheDistrict1competitioninwhichtheteamtwice
defeateditsrivalcontender,Camel’sHump,21–8andthen10–4forthedivisionaltitle,notwithstandingtwo
earlierCamel’sHumpvictoriesoverColchester, and
Whereas,intheStatechampionshipcontest,ColchesterwasmatchedagainstthehostBrattleboroteam,and
inthebottomoftheseventhofascheduledseven-inningcontestwithtwoouts,norunneronbase,andtrailing
4–2,Colchesterignitedanunanticipatedoffensivespree,scoringthreesuccessiveanddecisiveruns,
triumphantlydepartingthediamondasthe5–4gamewinnerandthe20248–10VermontLittleLeague
champion, and
Whereas,ColchesterrepresentedVermontadmirablyattheNewEnglandregionalLittleLeagueBaseball
