16 | 16 | | This bill creates grant programs under which the Technical College System |
---|
17 | 17 | | Board and Higher Educational Aids Board may award grants of up to $1,500 to |
---|
18 | 18 | | technical college students and tribal college students, respectively, who have |
---|
19 | 19 | | undertaken an apprenticeship program in conjunction with their course of |
---|
20 | 20 | | instruction at the technical college or tribal college. These grants may be awarded |
---|
21 | 21 | | only to pay for the students' actual materials expenses, such as the cost of tools, |
---|
22 | 22 | | equipment, and clothing, associated with the apprenticeship program. Among the |
---|
23 | 23 | | requirements for a student to be eligible for a grant, the student must be enrolled in |
---|
24 | 24 | | the apprenticeship program in the semester in which the grant is made and in the |
---|
25 | 25 | | following semester. |

107 | 107 | | as the cost of tools, equipment, and clothing, that are directly related to the |
