14 | 14 | | grants to small- or medium-sized manufacturers headquartered in Wisconsin for |

16 | 16 | | grant awarded under the bill may exceed 33 percent of the purchase price paid by the |

17 | 17 | | manufacturer for the hardware and software or $200,000, whichever is less, and the |

18 | 18 | | manufacturer is required to have established an advanced technology adoption |
---|
19 | 19 | | implementation plan approved by the Wisconsin Center for Manufacturing and |

20 | 20 | | Productivity, Inc., that includes the purchase of the hardware and software that is |

21 | 21 | | subject to the grant and requires that such hardware and software be utilized in |

22 | 22 | | Wisconsin. Under the bill, WEDC must coordinate with the Wisconsin Center for |

23 | 23 | | Manufacturing and Productivity to implement the grant program. |

47 | 47 | | SECTION 3. 238.24 of the statutes is created to read: |

48 | 48 | | 238.24 Manufacturing modernization grant program. (1) DEFINITION. |
---|
49 | 49 | | In this section, “small- or medium-sized manufacturer” means a manufacturer |
---|
50 | 50 | | headquartered in this state who had $50 million or less in gross revenues in the |
---|
51 | 51 | | manufacturer's fiscal year immediately preceding the date of the manufacturer's |
---|
52 | 52 | | application for a grant under this section. |
---|
53 | 53 | | (2) GRANTS. (a) From the appropriation under s. 20.192 (1) (c), the corporation |
---|
54 | 54 | | may award grants to small- or medium-sized manufacturers for the purchase of |
---|
55 | 55 | | advanced manufacturing technology hardware and software. |
