1010 AN ACT to create 70.11 (38v) of the statutes; relating to: a property tax

1414 This bill exempts land and buildings owned by the Wisconsin Housing and
1515 Economic Development Authority and used as its corporate headquarters, including
1616 associated parking facilities, from the property tax.
1717 Because this bill relates to an exemption from state or local taxes, it may be
1818 referred to the Joint Survey Committee on Tax Exemptions for a report to be printed
1919 as an appendix to the bill.

2222 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2323 enact as follows:
2424 SECTION 1. 70.11 (38v) of the statutes is created to read:
2525 70.11 (38v) WISCONSIN HOUSING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
2626 HEADQUARTERS. Land and buildings on that land owned by the Wisconsin Housing

3535 and Economic Development Authority and used exclusively as either the corporate
3636 headquarters of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority or the
3737 parking facilities associated with those headquarters.
3838 SECTION 2.0Initial applicability.
3939 (1) WHEDA HEADQUARTERS. The treatment of s. 70.11 (38v) first applies to the
4040 property tax assessments as of January 1, 2024.
