13 | 13 | | Department of Corrections and then disbursed in a set order. Currently, the salary |

14 | 14 | | or wages are disbursed as follows: |

15 | 15 | | 1. To cover the board of the prisoner, including food and clothing. |
---|
16 | 16 | | 2. To pay necessary travel expenses to and from work and other incidental |
---|
17 | 17 | | expenses of the prisoner. |

18 | 18 | | 3. To pay the crime victim and witness assistance surcharge. |
---|
19 | 19 | | 4. To pay the DNA analysis surcharge. |
---|
20 | 20 | | 5. To support the prisoner's dependants. |

21 | 21 | | 6. To pay the child pornography surcharge. |

22 | 22 | | 7. To pay the drug offender diversion surcharge. |

23 | 23 | | 8. To pay a reasonable room charge, as determined by DOC. |

38 | 38 | | SECTION 1. 303.065 (5) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read: |

39 | 39 | | 303.065 (5) (intro.) The salaries or wages of any employed inmates shall be |

40 | 40 | | disbursed by the department in the order stated at an amount or a percentage the |
---|
41 | 41 | | department determines is reasonable: |

42 | 42 | | SECTION 2. 303.065 (5) (a) of the statutes is renumbered 303.065 (5) (at). |
