15 | 15 | | Under current law, an individual must have an appropriate training permit, |

16 | 16 | | license, or certificate to act as an emergency medical responder or emergency medical |

17 | 17 | | services practitioner. In addition, in order for an emergency medical responder or |

18 | 18 | | emergency medical services practitioner to provide emergency medical care for an |
---|
19 | 19 | | emergency medical services provider, that individual must be credentialed with that |
---|
20 | 20 | | emergency medical services provider through a local credentialing agreement |
---|
21 | 21 | | approved by the provider's service director and medical director. An individual may |
---|
22 | 22 | | have local credentialing agreements with one or more emergency medical services |
---|
23 | 23 | | providers. If DHS takes administrative action against an individual's training |
---|
24 | 24 | | permit, license, or certificate, the bill requires DHS to notify the medical director or |
