1313 This bill requires the Department of Health Services to award grants to each
1414 county to match any investments made by the county in the previous fiscal year in
1515 the recruitment, retention, mental health, trauma care and prevention, or wellness
1616 of the county's health care, public health, child care, long-term care, and other care
1717 provider workforce. Under the bill, grants may not exceed an amount equal to $1.11
1818 multiplied by the county's population.

2121 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2222 enact as follows:
2323 SECTION 1. 20.435 (1) (fo) of the statutes is created to read:
2424 20.435 (1) (fo) Workforce investment grants. A sum sufficient for grants to
2525 counties for workforce investment under s. 146.621.

3333 SECTION 2 ASSEMBLY BILL 1182
3434 SECTION 2. 146.621 of the statutes is created to read:
3535 146.621 Workforce investment grants. Each fiscal year, the department
3636 shall provide grants to each county to match any investments made by the county
3737 in the previous fiscal year in the recruitment, retention, mental health, trauma care
3838 and prevention, or wellness of the county's health care, public health, child care,
3939 long-term care, and other care provider workforce. No grant awarded to a county
4040 under this section in any fiscal year may exceed an amount equal to $1.11 multiplied
4141 by the total number of persons residing in the county, as last determined by the
4242 department of administration under s. 16.96.
