| 18 | 18 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |

| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 1. 7.53 (5) of the statutes is created to read: |

| 21 | 21 | | 7.53 (5) LIVE BROADCASTS. If a municipality broadcasts canvassing proceedings |

| 22 | 22 | | live in any election, including by live stream on the Internet, the municipality shall |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | record the broadcast. The municipal clerk shall retain the recording for the period |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | specified in s. 7.23 (1) (f), unless, in good faith, the municipal clerk is unable to retain |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | the recording because the recording is maintained on an Internet video streaming |
