AN ACT to create 5.51 (9) of the statutes; relating to: requiring a watermark on
mailed absentee ballots.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill requires that all absentee ballots mailed to eligible voters contain a
watermark that identifies the ballot as an official absentee ballot.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SECTION 1. 5.51 (9) of the statutes is created to read:
5.51 (9) All absentee ballots mailed to eligible electors shall contain a
watermark that identifies the ballot as an official absentee ballot.
