1212 AN ACT to repeal 103.007 and 109.09 (3) of the statutes; relating to: state
1313 preemption of local employment regulations.
1414 Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1515 Under current law, the state limits the power of local governments to enact laws
1616 on certain issues. This practice is called preemption. This bill repeals the
1717 preemptions of local governments from enacting or enforcing ordinances related to
1818 the following:
1919 1. Regulations related to wage claims and collections.
2020 2. Regulation of employee hours and overtime, including scheduling of
2121 employee work hours or shifts.

2323 printed as an appendix to this bill.
2424 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2525 enact as follows:
2626 SECTION 1. 103.007 of the statutes is repealed.
2727 SECTION 2. 109.09 (3) of the statutes is repealed.
