18 | 18 | | the bill, DOA must coordinate with the W isconsin Economic Development |

19 | 19 | | Corporation, the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, the |

20 | 20 | | Departments of Workforce Development and Revenue, local governments, local |
---|
21 | 21 | | economic development organizations, and any other person DOA considers |
---|
22 | 22 | | appropriate, to publish information relevant to small businesses on the |
---|
23 | 23 | | clearinghouse, including information relating to all of the following: |

24 | 24 | | 1. Bidding opportunities for small businesses to participate in state and local |
---|
25 | 25 | | government contracts. |

26 | 26 | | 2. Economic development programs, whether public or private, that may offer |

27 | 27 | | benefits to small businesses. |

28 | 28 | | 3. Courses of instruction, networking opportunities, and other events or |

41 | 41 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |

42 | 42 | | enact as follows: |

43 | 43 | | SECTION 1. 16.281 of the statutes is created to read: |
---|
44 | 44 | | 16.281 Small business clearinghouse. (1) ESTABLISHMENT OF |
---|
45 | 45 | | CLEARINGHOUSE. The department shall establish on the Internet a clearinghouse of |
---|
46 | 46 | | information for small businesses in this state. |
---|
47 | 47 | | (2) INFORMATION PUBLISHED ON CLEARINGHOUSE . The department shall |
---|
48 | 48 | | coordinate with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the Wisconsin |
---|
49 | 49 | | Housing and Economic Development Authority, the departments of workforce |
---|
50 | 50 | | development and revenue, local governments, local economic development |
---|
51 | 51 | | organizations, and any other person the department considers appropriate, to |
---|
52 | 52 | | publish information relevant to small businesses on the clearinghouse established |
---|
53 | 53 | | under sub. (1), including information relating to all of the following: |
---|
54 | 54 | | (a) Bidding opportunities for small businesses to participate in state and local |
---|
55 | 55 | | government contracts. |
---|
56 | 56 | | (b) Economic development programs, as defined in s. 238.01 (3), whether public |
---|
57 | 57 | | or private, that may offer benefits to small businesses. |

58 | 58 | | (c) Courses of instruction, networking opportunities, and other events or |

59 | 59 | | opportunities encouraging the establishment, development, and expansion of small |
---|
60 | 60 | | businesses. |
