19 | 19 | | prohibiting the Department of Health Services from requiring a health care provider |

20 | 20 | | that is licensed, certified, registered, or otherwise authorized to provide health care |

21 | 21 | | services in this state and that exclusively offers health care services in this state |
---|
22 | 22 | | through telehealth to maintain a physical address or site in this state to be eligible |

23 | 23 | | for enrollment as a certified provider under the Medical Assistance program. |

24 | 24 | | Additionally, this bill prohibits DHS from requiring a provider group with health |

25 | 25 | | care providers that are licensed, certified, registered, or otherwise authorized to |

26 | 26 | | provide health care services in this state and that exclusively offer health care |
---|
27 | 27 | | services in this state through telehealth to maintain a physical address or site in this |

36 | 36 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |
---|
37 | 37 | | enact as follows: |

38 | 38 | | SECTION 1. 49.45 (61m) of the statutes is created to read: |

39 | 39 | | 49.45 (61m) SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH TELEHEALTH BY OUT-OF-STATE |

40 | 40 | | PROVIDERS. (a) In this subsection, “telehealth” has the meaning given in sub. (61) (a) |
