| 11 | 11 | | AN ACT to amend 944.20 (1) (a) and (b) and 944.20 (2) of the statutes; relating |

| 12 | 12 | | to: intentional exposure of genitals and providing a penalty. |

| 14 | 14 | | Current law prohibits a person from publicly and indecently exposing genitals |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | or pubic area. A person who violates the prohibition is guilty of a Class A |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | misdemeanor. This bill eliminates the element that the exposure be indecent and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | instead requires that the exposure be intentional. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Because this bill creates a new crime or revises a penalty for an existing crime, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the Joint Review Committee on Criminal Penalties may be requested to prepare a |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | report. |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | enact as follows: |

| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. 944.20 (1) (a) and (b) of the statutes are amended to read: |

| 24 | 24 | | 944.20 (1) (a) Commits an indecent act of sexual gratification with another |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | with knowledge that they are in the presence of others; or. |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (b) Publicly and indecently Intentionally exposes genitals or pubic area in a |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | public area. |
