16 | 16 | | services block grant to organizations or coalitions of organizations, including cities, |

17 | 17 | | villages, towns, counties, and American Indian tribes for suicide prevention |

18 | 18 | | programming. A grant recipient must contribute matching funds or in-kind services |

19 | 19 | | having a value equal to at least 20 percent of the grant amount. The bill provides |

20 | 20 | | that DHS must set aside $250,000 of federal funds each fiscal year for the purpose |

21 | 21 | | of awarding the grants under the bill. |

26 | 26 | | SECTION 1. 51.72 of the statutes is created to read: |

42 | 42 | | this subsection during the fiscal year in which the funds are set aside for any purpose |

43 | 43 | | other than awarding grants under sub. (1). |

44 | 44 | | (3) The department may not award a grant under sub. (1) unless the recipient |
---|
45 | 45 | | contributes matching funds or in-kind services having a value equal to at least 20 |
