| 17 | 17 | | villages, towns, counties, and American Indian tribes for suicide prevention |

| 18 | 18 | | programming. A grant recipient must contribute matching funds or in-kind services |

| 19 | 19 | | having a value equal to at least 20 percent of the grant amount. The bill provides |

| 20 | 20 | | that DHS must set aside $250,000 of federal funds each fiscal year for the purpose |

| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 1. 51.72 of the statutes is created to read: |

| 27 | 27 | | 51.72 Suicide prevention programming grants. (1) From the federal |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | funds set aside under sub. (2), the department shall award grants to organizations |

| 43 | 43 | | other than awarding grants under sub. (1). |

| 44 | 44 | | (3) The department may not award a grant under sub. (1) unless the recipient |

| 45 | 45 | | contributes matching funds or in-kind services having a value equal to at least 20 |
