| 12 | 12 | | Under current law, it is a Class I felony to damage or graffiti certain vehicles, |

| 13 | 13 | | highways, common carrier property, grand juror property, and state-owned |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | historical property. This bill makes it a Class I felony to damage or graffiti any |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | structure, plaque, statue, painting, or other monument of commemorative or |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | historical significance that is on public property or is maintained by the state or any |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | county or municipality. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Because this bill creates a new crime or revises a penalty for an existing crime, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the Joint Review Committee on Criminal Penalties may be requested to prepare a |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | report. |

| 21 | 21 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |
