This would generally permit individuals to engage in remote notarization transactions for the purposes of creating or executing any powers of attorney. ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1 Assembly Substitute Amendment 1 creates an exception to the current prohibition on the use of remote notarization for the purposes of the creation or execution of powers of attorney for a limited financial power of attorney for a real estate transaction. This would generally permit individuals to engage in remote notarization for the purposes of powers of attorney for real estate transactions only.
