16 | 16 | | This bill prohibits the sale, manufacture, transfer, use, and possession of any |

17 | 17 | | device that is added after manufacture that is designed or functions to accelerate the |
---|
18 | 18 | | rate of fire of a semiautomatic firearm. A person who violates the prohibition is guilty |
---|
19 | 19 | | of a Class G felony. |
---|
20 | 20 | | Because this bill creates a new crime or revises a penalty for an existing crime, |
---|
21 | 21 | | the Joint Review Committee on Criminal Penalties may be requested to prepare a |
---|
22 | 22 | | report. |

23 | 23 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |

24 | 24 | | enact as follows: |

25 | 25 | | SECTION 1. 941.285 of the statutes is created to read: |

26 | 26 | | 941.285 Possession of firearm accessories that accelerate the rate of |

27 | 27 | | fire. (1) No person may import, sell or offer to sell, purchase, manufacture, transfer, |

28 | 28 | | use, or possess a trigger crank, a bump-fire device, or any part, combination of parts, |
