1212 Under current law, the Department of Public Instruction must grant an initial
1313 license to teach to an individual who meets certain eligibility requirements,
1414 possesses a bachelor's degree, and has completed an alternative teacher certification
1515 program that is operated by a nonstock, nonprofit organization and satisfies certain
1616 criteria. This bill removes the requirement that an alternative teacher certification
1717 program be operated by a nonstock, nonprofit organization for purposes of an initial
1818 license to teach.
