14 | 14 | | This bill requires employers to include in listings for job vacancies or |
---|
15 | 15 | | employment opportunities the hourly wages or salary, or the range of hourly wages |
---|
16 | 16 | | or salary, that the employer will offer to the individual who is hired. The bill also |
---|
17 | 17 | | requires the listing to include any other benefits or compensation that the employer |
---|
18 | 18 | | will provide. |

19 | 19 | | The bill also provides that employers are required to retain records of listings |
---|
20 | 20 | | for job vacancies and employment opportunities, including information regarding |
---|
21 | 21 | | wages, salary, and other benefits, for at least two years after the vacancy or |
---|
22 | 22 | | employment opportunity is filled. Finally, the bill provides that an employer who |
---|
23 | 23 | | violates a requirement under the bill shall forfeit not less than $500 and not more |
---|
24 | 24 | | than $10,000 for each violation. |

34 | 34 | | 103.365 Wage transparency in job listings; penalty. (1) LISTING |
---|
35 | 35 | | REQUIREMENT. If an employer posts a listing for a job vacancy or employment |
---|
36 | 36 | | opportunity, the employer shall include in the listing the hourly wages or salary, or |
---|
37 | 37 | | range of hourly wages or salary, and a description of all benefits and other |
---|
38 | 38 | | compensation that the employer will offer to the individual hired for the job or |
---|
39 | 39 | | employment opportunity. |
---|
40 | 40 | | (2) RECORD RETENTION. An employer shall retain records of listings for job |
---|
41 | 41 | | vacancies and employment opportunities, including the information provided in sub. |
---|
42 | 42 | | (1), for at least 2 years after the vacancy or employment opportunity is filled or no |
---|
43 | 43 | | longer published, whichever is later, and shall allow the department or an employee |
---|
44 | 44 | | of the employer to review the records. |
---|
45 | 45 | | (3) PENALTY. Any employer who violates this section shall forfeit not less than |
---|
46 | 46 | | $500 nor more than $10,000 for each violation. Each failure to comply with a duty |
---|
47 | 47 | | under this section is a separate violation. |
