The bill defines a “judicial officer” as a current or former Supreme Court justice, a current or former appellate or circuit court judge, a current or former municipal court judge in this state, or a current or former circuit court commissioner in this state. The definition of a judicial officer in the bill applies to a person living or deceased. ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1 Assembly Amendment 1 replaces the definition of a judicial officer in the bill with the following definition: a person who currently is or who formerly was a Supreme Court justice, court of appeals judge, circuit court judge, municipal judge, tribal judge, temporary or permanent reserve judge, or circuit, supplemental, or municipal court commissioner.
