99 Whereas, the State of Wisconsin recognizes that our children are our greatest
1010 resource; and
1111 Whereas, our children need emotional and parental support from both parents
1212 to be as successful as possible; and
1313 Whereas, separated parents who choose to share parenting duties significantly
1414 decrease the chances of undesirable youth troubles and struggles; and
1515 Whereas, shared parenting is shown to have a significantly positive effect on
1616 children's well-being; and
1717 Whereas, Wisconsin is currently the leading state in shared parenting
1818 outcomes for children with separated parents; and
1919 Whereas, increasing the public awareness of the importance of providing
2020 children with the parental support they need from both parents benefits Wisconsin's
2121 children, their parents, and all of Wisconsin's citizens; now, therefore, be it
