1515 Under current law, if a person is convicted of a second or subsequent offense
1616 related to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant or
1717 other drug, with a prohibited alcohol concentration, or with a measurable amount
1818 of a controlled substance in his or her blood (OWI offense) or a first OWI offense for
1919 which his or her alcohol concentration is 0.15 or greater, a court must order the
2020 person's operating privilege restricted to operating vehicles that are equipped with
2121 an ignition interlock device. This bill expands the ignition interlock requirement to
2222 all OWI offenses that involve the use of alcohol.
