	12	+	AN ACT to create 84.10341 of the statutes; relating to: designating and marking
	13	+	the Corporal Benjamin H. Neal Memorial Highway.

	15	+	Under current law, certain highway routes and bridges have been designated
	16	+	and marked to memorialize, commemorate, or recognize certain individuals, groups,
	17	+	or events. This bill directs the Department of Transportation to designate and mark
	18	+	STH 11 from the western border of the village of Orfordville to the eastern border of
	19	+	the village of Footville as the “Corporal Benjamin H. Neal Memorial Highway.”
	20	+	For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
	21	+	an appendix to this bill.
	22	+	The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
	23	+	enact as follows:
8	24		SECTION 1. 84.10341 of the statutes is created to read:
9		-	84.10341 Corporal Benjamin H. Neal Memorial
10		-	Highway. The department shall designate and mark the
11		-	route of STH 11, commencing at the western border of
12		-	the village of Orfordville and proceeding easterly to the
13		-	eastern border of the village of Footville, as the “Corporal
14		-	Benjamin H. Neal Memorial Highway” in recognition of
15		-	the sacrifice of Corporal Benjamin H. Neal, a proud
16		-	member of the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry
17		-	Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne
18		-	Division of the U.S. Army, who, on April 25, 2012, died
19		-	from injuries caused by an improvised explosive device
20		-	during Operation Enduring Freedom in Zharay, Kanda-
21		-	har Province in Afghanistan.
22		-	* Section 991.11, WISCONSIN STATUTES: Effective date of acts. “Every act and every portion of an act enacted by the legislature over the governor’s
23		-	partial veto which does not expressly prescribe the time when it takes effect shall take effect on the day after its date of publication.”
